On a recent visit to the Hancock Museum in Newcastle, we saw ‘Dippy on Tour’. Dippy is a Diplodocus dinosaur and graced the Natural History Museum in London, which is where I first saw him as a student many moons ago. The Natural History Museum has sent Dippy on an adventure around the country, so we took our daughters to see him in Newcastle and it was quite special to see him again with my own children.
Dippy has inspired us to create our very own dinosaur personalised print. Dippy is very impressive and quite fearsome, we hope our ‘Little Dino’ looks much friendlier and will greet your little one with a happy smile each morning. Our design is set on a rich blue background, with the ‘Little Dino’ munching on some leaves, ready for his next adventure…but what will it be…
The print can be fully personalised with the child’s name, a special date (e.g. birth date and details) and a message from you for that extra special touch. For inspiration of messages and captions click here.
For more information about Dippy on Tour see the Natural History Museum’s website for more details: Natural History Museum
If you’re local to Newcastle, check out the Hancock (Great North Museum) website here for more info on when to see Dippy along with their other collections (we always visit the Egyptian section but that’s a whole new story!)
